Meet Alan Dunn

Alan was first elected to Strathcona County Council in October 2004 and re-elected in 2007, representing the rural residents of Ward 6.

From a Royal Canadian Air Force family, he was born in Edmonton and grew up in Ontario. He attended the Royal Military College and the University of Waterloo, graduating in 1972 in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Professional Engineer with over 40 years of experience in design, project management, energy marketing, operations, and risk management in the Energy sector. He is now retired from engineering and thus able to devote full time to the ever increasing demands of municipal government.
